Marcel Shipp, Owner
As an owner of Clean Bottom Pools, Marcel is deeply entrenched in the community. As a player with the Arizona Cardinals, he has dedicated countless hours of service at varying levels. Marcel is also the co-founder of the 4th and Inches Foundation in New Jersey that has operated over 12 years strong. Now that he is the owner of Clean Bottom Pools and is a full-time Arizonan, he started a new foundation in Arizona, called the Le’Cram Foundation, which focuses on assisting children in poverty and domestic violence survivors. The Foundation also provides mentor/sponsorship of student-athletes and tackles various types of social injustices. Additionally, he has organized the most consistently-run youth football camp in New Jersey for the past 12 years.

In 2001, Marcel Shipp started his career in the NFL as a running back for the Arizona Cardinals, where he played for seven years. When Marcel retired from the game, he held various coaching positions which gave him the opportunity to see the other side of the football. He most recently served as the running back coach for the New York Jets for two years. Marcel had the unique ability to experience life as a player and a coach where he had the great responsibility of assembling a winning team and managing different types of players. Essentially, he helped place each of those players into positions that would make them successful.
Marcel’s NFL experience makes him different from any other pool company owner. He is continually striving to make Clean Bottom Pools better for customers and employees. Marcel has carried over a lot of the same principles he used with coaching– including but not limited to motivational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. This brings together a winning team that can work at their highest potential while delivering high-quality customer service.
